this stuff is amazing -- put a tsp or tbsp in a pot of soup -- or beef stew -- or pot roast and it works wonderfully well. Can't find it in New York City so I have friends and family send it to me. Now that I've found it Amazon, I finally have a source.

This is the best beef base for making soups that I've run into. It's a staple in my kitchen. I also use it for making black-bean garlic sauce, beef fried rice, and a range of other recipes that are dependent on a quality beef flavor. One 16oz tub contains quite a bit of base; enough to last me about a year.

Tones Soup base, both chicken and beef are excellent products. Both contain too much salt especially in today's health-conscious world. In spite of the salt, a good cook should never be without these staples. You can 'pump up' the flavor of even cheap cuts of meat and guests will rave about your cooking. What more could you want!

I was quite disappointed when I opened my new "Beef Base." What I had ordered--and used before--was a dry powder. This is liquid that must be refrigerated after being opened. Even the color of the container is different--the one I received is yellow, whereas what I ordered is red, like the picture displayed. I am not impressed.

This product is very good and so convenient to have in your pantry. Also is
less expensive than buying canned broth. I can definitely recommend to anyone
who cooks with beef broth.
