Description:

A spicy, coarse blend of onion, garlic, spices, red and green bell peppers, with an added touch of crushed red pepper for heat. Used to make a delicious, spicy sauce for pasta. This colorful blend has medium sized pieces of peppers, onion and garlic. Serving Suggestions Use as a base for any Italian dish or any tomato based sauce or entree. Mix into bread dough for a colorful and tasty Italian bread. Great as a sauce served on chicken cacciatore, chicken marsala, veal, fish, meatloaf, hamburgers and pasta. Mix with olive oil and toss with pasta. Delicious in pasta salads or mixed with butter for a spicy garlic bread. For 1 quart sauce, mix 1/3 cup Tone's Spicy Spaghetti Seasoning with 30 oz. tomato sauce. Simmer for about 20 minutes.

Awesome service Sep 22, 2009
I use this product when I make canned tomato sauce and found it online. It was shipped promptly and ordering two of them, the shipping was very reasonable. I will definitely order from here again, they carry alot of the spices that you would otherwise have to go to a warehouse club to purchase.

This product is so versatile. I use it to season MANY different items -- but it is especially good on hot macaroni. Also, it was TERRIFIC to be able to purchase it without having to go to/belong to Sam's Club -- for those of us that deliberately AVOID shopping/supporting at Walmart....

Tone's Tone's Spices (Spice Advice) Spicy Spaghetti Seasoning (* Zesty Italian Pasta Blend 14 oz) is one of our favorites. We used it in developing the recipes in The Collard Patch. We like the coarse blend of onions, garlic, spices, red and green bell peppers, and crushed hot red peppers. This delicious, spicy mix makes great pasta sauce and helps season collard greens.

The first ingredient listed is salt. A two-teaspoon serving supplies almost one fourth the salt that a young healthy person needs in a day's time. As we mature, we need to cut back on our sodium to avoid that silent killer, hypertension. If we weren't concerned that it would run our blood pressure up, we would eat more of it.

If only there could be less sodium, we could enjoy it more often!

The only way it could possibly be better is to have fresh ingredients. Rarely do I have that kind of time. So this is the best. I love the "chunks" of ingredients unlike others that are just powder everything. For instance there are pieces of onion rather than just onion powder.

I have used Tone's Spicy Spaghetti Seasoning for some time now and I have to say that it has added a lot of flavor and zest to my pasta dishes. The combination of spices that include chili flakes, bell pepers & onions give it the right amount of kick that makes your taste buds stand up and take notice. Can't imagine not using it! :)
